Notre Dame Football

Catch the pep rally kick off video!

200th Consecutive Game

Yes we are Notre Dame fans and are so excited because we just took in the 200th Consecutive Sold Out game at Notre Dame Stadium. Over 80,000 people pack into Notre Dame Stadium for seven football home games each fall....yes 80,000 each game!

Note: this picture was taken from our seats at the stadium, there isn't a bad seat in the house!

There is something about the campus of Notre Dame and the history there. From standing with your arms up in front of the library with Touchdown Jesus to just taking in the Golden Dome to a quiet moment near the Grotto there is so much. Of course we can't forget the fun we have near the lake feeding the ducks.

Back to the game though....Notre Dame defeated San Diego State 21 to 13! GO IRISH!

The Movie Voice

In marketing we all know you need a voice that cuts through and is memorable to make your message stick, but not always do we know who the voice is behind the scenes.

For movie trailers the voice makes all the difference too. One voice that we all know, but a face we maybe don't is that of Don LaFontaine.

Don recently passed away and his voice that drove us to go to so many movies will be missed.

Numbers are pretty important....there are other things that mean much more

Well it is another day in our house and the numbers for today are....
7:05 am 133
11:01 am 174
11:50 am 98
3:33 pm 154
6:47 pm 279

AND

7:16 am 322
8:10 am 349
9:38 am 134
10:46 am 47
11:04 am 107
12:38 pm 140
12:49 pm 119
1:03 pm 94
1:54 pm 72
3:33 pm 205
6:42 pm 241

One set of numbers represents a normal day and pretty good numbers, the other a day that is a little tougher.

We have two daughter and both have type 1 diabetes http://www.diabetes.org/type-1-diabetes.jsp. Versus fixating on the numbers though....let's look at the girls that really are the ones that know the numbers way to well.

We look at our girls and are amazed at the strength they show us. Yes, they have to test each day and take shots or enter their levels into a insulin pump.....but they are two of the most amazing kids. No, they don't get to use diabetes as an excuse for anything. Yes, they can have bad days just like all of us.

But, we know we are only dealt what we can handle and in this we have learned what we can endure as a family and have seen strength in our kids that we couldn't imagine was there.

Some of us watch numbers or the time of day for our next appointment/meeting or for something coming up. We record and watch numbers, but know there is much more out there than numbers.
